this afternoon

This afternoon John David and I took Sunni to the lakefront. For those of you not from Louisiana, my town is on the north shore of Lake Ponchartrain- that lake is what separates us from New Orleans and we take the causeway bridge across 24 miles of lake to get to the city . If you look at Louisiana on a map, the lake is that key hole looking spot on the bottom right.

She wanted to walk on the sea wall like John

After our walk on the lakefront we went and got my first snowball of the season! I think John said he had already had 2- so jealous.

Strawberry with condensed milk.
I am not very adventurous with my flavor choice.
I have gotten the exact same thing my entire life.

When I went to college in North Carolina we were kind of out in the middle of farm land and the closest snowball stand was like 15 or 20 miles away! It was absolute torture to not be able to go get one whenever I wanted. Down here we say snowball and not snow cone and they are considered "New Orleans style" because the ice is shaved very fine. They are one of my many favorite things about warm weather coming :-)

What is your favorite flavor?
